KongQuest is custom arcade game developed exclusively for Cidercade, blending original gameplay with a cohesive visual and audio identity built from the ground up. As Creative Director, I led the art direction from initial concept through final execution, ensuring every detail supported both player experience and brand personality.
The project encompassed full game UX/UI design—including interface visuals, animation style, sound design, and overall game feel—as well as the exterior cabinet artwork. From on-screen interactions to the physical presence on the arcade floor, the goal was a seamless, immersive experience that felt original.

From an art direction standpoint, the concept phase explored multiple visual directions with a clear focus on the strengths of our in-house team—leaning heavily into illustration rather than 3D or 8-bit styles. A key goal was to create something completely original, avoiding familiar or derivative game aesthetics. The final direction landed on a collage-inspired style, blending photography, pen-and-paper illustration, and vector art into a distinct, layered visual language that feels unique to the game and the Cidercade brand.
