Cidercade
This idea was born from a mission to tap into the passion of the existing fanbase and inspire a wave of high-quality, UGC. Creativity has always permeated the Cidercade brand, from the marketing to the craft beverages. This contest is about celebrating that culture while giving creators a stage (and a big $10,000 incentive) to show what they can do.
The challenge: create a 15 to 30 second scroll-stopper that captures the magic of Cidercade.
In the end we received hundreds of submissions and garnered not only a great library of new content, but also positive brand interaction.

When the contest launched, I realized pretty quickly that the heart of the contest wasn’t landing with everyone.
That’s why we made this reel. On the surface, yeah it’s promotion for the contest itself. But it was also about showcasing a couple key things through it:
1. Legitimacy - by showcasing our ability to produce engaging content in-house.
2. INSPIRATION - I shot this whole video solo with just a small tripod, DSLR, and pocket-sized LED to prove you don’t need much gear to make something compelling.
Top 20 finalists
Out of the hundreds of participants, we narrowed it down to the top 20 entries and opened it up to our fans to decide who deserved the three people’s choice prizes up for grabs.
